Al Hudec to Speak at 7th Annual Wine Law Seminar
Farris partner Al Hudec will speak at the Seventh Annual Seminar on Wine Law in British Columbia on February 22, 2016. The seminar is being held in conjunction with the Vancouver International Wine Festival.
Al Hudec will examine the grocery wine sales and update on the issues and implementation of the grocery store channel, VQA operators and Bill 22 licensees. He is joined by Mark Hicken who is Program Co-Chair and partner at Vintage Law Group also focusing on the wine and liquor industry.
The seminar is part of the trade show associated with the Vancouver International Wine Festival and is aimed at wine distributors, producers, vineyard operators and advisors interested in the ongoing changes to BC’s liquor laws, focused on BC’s retail environment, wholesale pricing structure and distribution system, as well as interprovincial shipping, developments in the discussions around new British Columbia appellations, new water management laws and some views from south of the border on distribution in the U.S. and the use of social media for direct sales.
