

Farris partner Ludmila Herbst, Q.C., spoke on June 13, 2018 to an audience of lawyers, property tax consultants, BC Assessment staff and others at the Canadian Property Tax Association – BC Chapter Seminar. Ludmila presented as part of the legal update panel, focusing on the Amacon line of decisions interpreting and applying classification principles in the airspace context.
As part of their broader litigation and arbitration practice, Ludmila and Farris associate Nav Shukla regularly act in property assessment and property tax matters before all levels of court as well as administrative tribunals such as the Property Assessment Appeal Board. Among their other work, Ludmila and Nav were counsel in the Amacon decision as well as in subsequent cases in the same line of authority.
