Farris partner Ludmila Herbst, Q.C., presented a legal update to the annual meeting of the Western Canada Commercial Arbitration Society (“WCCAS”) on November 3, 2018, covering important arbitration-related court cases decided over the past year. WCCAS’ members are “senior, experienced international and domestic commercial arbitrators practicing in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan, or senior members of the bar from those provinces who have demonstrated a real commitment to the growth and development of arbitration in Western Canada.”
Ludmila has been a member of WCCAS since 2013 and often presents at its meetings and conferences. In additional to her corporate-commercial litigation and regulatory work, she is experienced arbitration counsel, is the co-author of Commercial Arbitration in Canada: A Guide to Domestic and International Arbitrations (a text that has been cited by trial and appellate courts across Canada), and regularly writes and presents on arbitration-related topics.
