Farris lawyers laced up their skates on November 26th to raise funds for Hockey Helps the Homeless. Bo Rothstein, Zack Kay and articled student Jeff Scheffel took to the ice, while Jay Sujir helped with fundraising from the bench. The team won one game, lost one and tied one, ending up in a respectable 5th place overall, but took home the Stanley Cup for fundraising with a total of $170,000!
Hockey Helps the Homeless is a not-for-profit hockey charity, founded on the belief that every Canadian should have a safe place to call home and the supports that they need to thrive. To ensure all homeless and at-risk Canadians have a fighting chance, they host hockey tournaments across Canada where players raise funds to make a direct impact in their own community.
