On March 31, 2022, Farris Lawyer, Amanda Winters, presented at CLEBC’s Tax Fundamentals for the Estate Practitioner. Her presentation, “Planning for Unique Family Circumstances”, covered a variety of family-law related topics, including common tax issues following a separation, the impact of unresolved family cases on estate planning, and a litigator’s perspective on common estate planning tools. Amanda’s practice focuses on estate and family litigation, and she has a particular interest in cases where those areas of law intersect. She works closely with estate and family planners to provide feedback on litigation risks associated with planning, and to assist clients when handling estate or family matters where planning has gone awry.
