Farris is pleased to announce that associate, Mohnaam K. Shergill, in her role as Director of Media and Communications at Sikh Heritage Society BC (SHBC), recently accepted the 2024 Surrey Civic Distinction Award for Heritage Education and Awareness presented by the Mayor of Surrey on behalf of the City. Presented once every four years, this award recognizes the SHBC’s exceptional efforts to preserve and promote Sikh heritage and culture in British Columbia. SHBC is a volunteer-driven organization that offers resources like workshops, lesson plans, and scholarships to promote inclusivity, along with hosting Sikh Heritage Month in BC each year.
