Aleksandra is currently a law student at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. At law school, Aleksandra was part of the 2022 Canadian Labour Arbitration Moot team and was elected a Careers Event Representative with the Career Services Office in her first and second year. She is also a Legal Buddy, Notetaker, Workshop Leader with the Legal Outreach Club, and volunteered with the Allard Women’s Caucus and Law Students’ Legal Advice Program.
Prior to law school, Aleksandra spent several years as an administrative decision-maker at the Employment Standards Branch, Ministry of Labour and was consequently awarded the Edward D. Bates, QC Award in Public Law in her second year of law school. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of British Columbia.
In her spare time, Aleksandra volunteers as a Mentor with Beedie Luminaries and enjoys spending time with her family and friends (and petting her dogs), baking, gardening, and traveling with her traditional Serbian dance group.
