As a solicitor practicing in Farris’s Kelowna office, David advises clients primarily in the areas of corporate/commercial, real estate, business transactions, and wills and estate administration. He has especially worked extensively with start-up companies in the technology and cannabis industries.
Born and raised in Kelowna, David earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from UBC’s Okanagan Campus, where he also helped found the men’s and women’s university rugby teams. While attending the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC in Vancouver, where he earned a J.D. in 2015, David competed in the bilingual Laskin Moot Court Competition and spent a semester abroad at the Peking University in Beijing (北京大学).
David loves getting involved in the community – past positions include Vice President of JCI Kelowna, Director of the Downtown Kelowna Association, Director of Festivals Kelowna, and Chair of the CBA Young Lawyers Okanagan Section. Currently, David serves as a director of the Rotary Club of Kelowna Foundation, a board member of the Yeye Housing Corporation, Chairperson of the JCI Farm Project at Helen’s Acres, and a member of both the Rotary Club of Kelowna and JCI Kelowna.
In his spare time, David enjoys cooking, mixing cocktails, playing touch rugby, golfing, and skiing.
