Ian recently completed his second year at Thompson Rivers University’s Faculty of Law. In his second year, Ian competed in the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Competition, where his team was awarded second place respondent written submission. He also acted as an orientation leader and mentor for first year students. In his first year, he competed in the TRU Business Law Club’s negotiation competition and was awarded the course prize in Contract Law.
Prior to law school, Ian received a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University, majoring in sociology and minoring in political studies. After this, he worked at a not-for-profit in Vancouver that provides a meal delivery service to people living with HIV and, at the time, provided food provisions to people in COVID-19 isolation.

In his spare time, Ian enjoys playing in recreational sports leagues, snowboarding, hiking, and watching movies.
