Summer Articling Student

Jack M. Sorokin

Jack recently finished his second year at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. During law school, he has volunteered with the Walker’s Caucus and the Disability Alliance of British Columbia through Pro Bono Students Canada, and he participated in the UBC Innocence Project this past year.  Following his first year, Jack worked as a Research Assistant to Professor Marcus Moore for his Sports Law class and received the Stan Smith Memorial Prize in Contract Law.

Before moving to Vancouver for law school, Jack received a Bachelor of Arts from Western University with an Honours Specialization in Kinesiology.  At Western, Jack volunteered with an organization providing swimming lessons to children with disabilities as he is passionate about improving accessibility and offering equal opportunities to all people regardless of ability.

In his free time, Jack thoroughly enjoys watching and playing sports. He is a die-hard Edmonton Oilers fan, ski raced throughout high school and is a proud member of the Legal Eagles Intramural hockey team.
