John is a member of Farris’ Corporate & Commercial, Real Estate and Banking & Financial Services groups. His real estate practice focuses on real estate acquisitions and dispositions, structuring partnerships and joint ventures, and advising on all aspects of real estate development.
John also advises both lenders and borrowers in a variety of commercial lending transactions. His involvement in this area of practice includes: aircraft acquisitions and financing; financing the acquisition and development of commercial real estate; financing the acquisition of businesses; and re-financing and re-structuring major loans (in both syndicated and non-syndicated contexts).
Originally from Kamloops, BC, John obtained both his Common Law and Civil Law degrees from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, where he began his career working at the office of a prominent national law firm before returning to the West Coast. John is fluent in both French and English.
