Farris Partner, Kevin Smith, recently presented at the Anglican Church of Canada’s Chancellors Conference, a two-day event held in Toronto on January 15-16, 2023. The conference, typically held biannually, drew lawyers from across the country who serve as legal officers for the Anglican church. Kevin is the Vice-Chancellor (Deputy Chief Legal Officer) for the Diocese of New Westminster and co-presented the results of a survey highlighting, among other things, the way legal services are handled by difference Dioceses across the country, as well as the range of professional experience and types of legal issues dealt with by the legal officers represented at the Conference.
