Farris is pleased to announce the appointment of Bo Rothstein as Managing Partner, effective January 1, 2024. Mr. Rothstein is a leading corporate lawyer practicing in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate governance. He has helped shape Farris’ strategic direction for the past decade, serving on the firm’s Management Committee from 2014 – 2020, Strategic Committee from 2013 – present, and as its Finance Partner from 2021 – present.

Mr. Rothstein assumes the role from Jeffrey Kay, KC, who has been the firm’s Managing Partner since 2017. Under Mr. Kay’s leadership, the firm strengthened several key practice areas, welcomed prominent new partners and enjoyed some of its most successful years in its 120-year history.

“Bo’s deep understanding of our firm’s culture and strategy, coupled with his collegial leadership style, make him ideal to lead Farris through its next stage of growth and development. Mr. Rothstein was called to the Ontario Bar in 2005 and the British Columbia Bar in 2006. He joined Farris as an associate in 2006 and has been a partner since 2013.
