Farris Partner, Michelle Moriartey, has been appointed to the Canadian Bar Association’s Tax Court Bench and Bar Committee for a two year term. The Committee is composed of five representatives from the National Commodity Tax, Customs and Trade Section and the Taxation Law Section. They meet regularly with the Chief Justice and Associate Chief Justice of the Tax Court, and representatives of the Courts Administration Service and Justice Canada, to discuss concerns arising from the Tax Bar as a result of practice before the Court.
