In memory of our friend and colleague Keith Mitchell, Farris has joined family and friends of Keith in endowing a new award at UBC’s Allard School of Law.  The “A. Keith Mitchell Award in Public Law” will be granted to outstanding 2^nd and 3^rd year JD students with a demonstrated interest in public law, and in particular involvement in student government, lobbying, mooting or clerking.  Keith (B.A. 1967, LL.B. 1971) was a Managing Partner of Farris from 1994–2007 and Chair from 2007–2017. He advised many of the leading companies, institutions and individuals in BC over a remarkable 50 year career. Keith was a proud UBC alum and served on the Dean’s Advisory Council at the Allard School of Law.  He believed deeply in giving back to the academic community and supporting UBC law students.
