Farris Partner, Andrea Frisby, participated as a panelist at the 27^th National Conference for STEP Canada on June 16 on the topic ‘Between Two Generations: The Adult Child’s Challenge of Balancing Care for Dependent Parents While Respecting Their Autonomy’. The session focused on the unique challenges faced by the “sandwich generation” – those supporting both aging parents and their own children. The panelists discussed planning for a range of dependencies, practical estate and trust solutions, and the legal tools and support systems available to families managing these dual responsibilities.
