An article by Farris Partner Ludmila Herbst, K.C., about the former Kamloops courthouse appears in the May 2026 issue of the Advocate: “Legal Anecdotes and Miscellanea – The Coming of the Train and Kamloops’ Edwardian Courthouse” (2026) 84 Advocate 453. Ludmila is an experienced litigator whose practice includes corporate-commercial, regulatory and constitutional cases. She is the assistant editor of the Advocate and took the colour photographs that illustrate this article while in Kamloops as one of the assessors for the MacIntyre Cup trial moot competition held in February 2026 at Kamloops’ current courthouse and hosted by Thompson Rivers University’s faculty of law.
