Daxton S. Boeré

Daxton will be returning to Farris to Article in 2022/2023.

Daxton is currently completing their Juris Doctor at the Peter A. Allard School of Law. While in law school, they have been an Associate Editor of the UBC Law Review, Co-President of the 2SLGBTQIA+ student group OutLaws, founder and President of Trans @ Allard, and a Research Assistant for the Allard Equity Advisory Committee. They are a student board member for the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and previously served as a clinician and clinic head for the organization. In their second year, they were a clinician at the Indigenous Community Legal Clinic where they were part of the Lived Law project, providing accessible legal advice for support workers on the Downtown Eastside.

Prior to attending law school, Daxton held numerous jobs ranging from frozen pea quality control tester, to courtesy shuttle driver; from oil field construction labourer, to toy store stock manager. They have lived and studied in France, Japan, Australia, and Thailand. They have a Bachelor of Arts in English grammar and rhetoric from UBC and a corresponding love of a well-positioned em dash.

In their spare time, Daxton enjoys practicing historical longsword and rapier fighting and cooking to feed their friends.
