Kurtis obtained his Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2019, with the distinction of highest overall academic standing in the Business Law Concentration. While in law school, Kurtis mooted in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
Kurtis joined Farris in 2018 as a summer articling student before returning as an articling student in 2019. He previously obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in International Relations at UBC, graduating with distinction. Kurtis also co-captained an engineering student team that built and raced autonomous sailboats, worked at a financial technology startup, and developed software for scientific research.
Outside of the office, Kurtis is passionate about cycling and hiking in the Vancouver area.
