Education

Rish is a student at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. In his first year, Rish was involved with the Law Students Society (LSS) as a 1L Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Representative while also volunteering as a Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC) volunteer with the Restorative Justice Association of British Columbia. In his second year, Rish served as the PBSC Program Coordinator for the Allard Chapter, while also holding the position of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Director for the LSS. For his academic achievement, volunteerism, and leadership, he was awarded the Bill Maclagan Award in Law, and the Edwards Kenny & Bray Award in Law.

Before law school, Rish obtained a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and History at the University of British Columbia. After his undergraduate degree, Rish was a fundraising manager for a non- profit organization in the Downtown Eastside, providing vital support to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

When he’s not busy with work or school, Rish loves keeping up with all kinds of sports – often following several at once. He also enjoys playing soccer and going for a swim whenever he can. Most days though, you’ll probably find him curled up inside, watching a good movie or TV show with his loved ones.
