Vanessa graduated from Thompson Rivers University as the recipient of the Law Society of British Columbia Gold Medal. During law school, Vanessa worked as a teaching assistant for first year Torts, served as the Finance Executive for the Women in Law Club, and acted as a student mentor.

Prior to law school, Vanessa received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria, majoring in English and minoring in Psychology. After this, she worked as an accounting clerk in a law firm environment.

In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys hiking, reading, and walking her corgi puppy, Circe. She also had the opportunity to play Little Red in this year’s Lawyer Show production of Into the Woods.
