Farris Represents David and Cynthia Enns on Purchase of the Iconic Naramata General Store
Farris lawyers, Al Hudec and Megan O’Neill, are proud to have represented David and Cynthia Enns on their purchase of the iconic Naramata General Store. David and Cynthia are partnering with long time friends, Mike Bernardo and Carole Morton, to operate the Store. David and Cynthia are long-term residents of Naramata and co-owners of the Naramata Wine Vault. Mike, who managed the Vij’s family of restaurants in Vancouver and Victoria for 20+ years, recently relocated his family to Naramata.
The Naramata General Store is in the heart of the village of Naramata and a cherished long-time community fixture. It is a local meeting place where you can find everything from ice cream to stamps to lotto tickets to Del’s Super Cool wine spritzers.
We are excited about helping in the transformation of this local treasure and look forward to seeing what plans the new owners and management have in mind for the store. We are comfortable that, as locals who understand the key role that the store plays as the social hub of the town, they will ensure that the store continues what it does best, while at the same time, as successful business persons, they will explore and implement innovations that will contribute to a revitalization of the town’s business community.
