On March 22, 2022, Famille C, the Courtin-Clarins family private investment fund and owner of the French cosmetic group Clarins, acquired the U.S.-based beauty brand, ILIA Beauty, described as a benchmark in the ‘clean’ make-up and skincare segment and which was first founded in Vancouver.

This acquisition marks a step for Famille C in its drive to establish a foothold in the innovation segment within the beauty and well-being sectors.

Famille C was represented in Canada by a Farris transaction team that included Denise Nawata, Ryan McCracken (M&A), Mark Chu, Trevor Shum (Tax) and Michael Korbin (Employment).
